24 Hours in Tel Aviv

24 hours in Tel Aviv - Jaffa, the first part

If you have only 24 hours to spend in Tel Aviv, then your best bet is to visit Jaffa.
Start the day at the beach at Jaffa's beautiful southern beach.
Heading north towards Old Jaffa with a stop at St. Anthony's Church with its wonderful stained-glass windows casting lovely warm colors on everything.
Combined with its calm atmosphere, it's a great stop before the hustle and bustle of Jaffa Port. Time for a short break, enjoy the scenic view, maybe try a traditional Arabic coffee and some sweets before entering Jaffa's old picturesque alleys.

Mid-day. Or, where to go from here?

The trendy Puaa Café, standing on the outskirts of marvelous Jaffa flea market is one great option for a hearty brunch. Now is the perfect time to explore this one of a kind flea market, take your time, let yourself get lost in the narrow alleys, follow the sights, smells and sounds and make a note to come back at night as the nightlife scene takes over and all the cool bars opens.
End this part with a visit at Old Jaffa Visitor's Center for a journey through the history of this city, one of the oldest cities in the world.

The end... and the grand finale

A quick break for coffee at Cafelix espresso Bar and an afternoon stroll through the old American-German Colony's neighborhood and the elegant Immanuel Church at its heart, on the way to Neve Tzedek. The first Jewish neighborhood outside Jaffa's walls is a mesmerizing quarter, a mixture of old 19th-century stone houses, dense alleys and a modern artistic vibe. Walk the small streets and soak up the atmosphere on your way to end the day the same way it began, on the beach, in front of the darkening Mediterranean sky, at the fabulous Manta Ray restaurant.
